Well...
As many can soon imagine, I did NOT keep up with my blogging at all. I have since made another resolution to try and incorporate it into my daily routine. I know that many people don't believe in resolutions for the new year, and that is perfectly ok. Too be honest for me, I do continue to make them. "Why you ask?" I feel that it's alright to start something, kind of like a new beginning, when your life changes, or you want your life to change. I myself feel that starting something is better than never starting it at all. Even if I fail after I've started it. I at least know I tried.
I have decided however to just blog about me! That's right, just me! I am not going to be posting any lap-band results any longer. I just want a place where I can be "Me!"
I have struggles too, just as most of us do.
I am the caregiver to my husband "Eddie." Please keep us in your prayers! I am a Christian, and I hope that by listening to my "ups and downs" that you may gain some sort of strength and encouragement by my words. Actually not my words, but Gods words!
Whether it is a good or bad day, I hope you will tag along for the journey!

Where has summer gone?
Wow!
Well It is the end of August and school has officially started! Sad to see summer go, but also excited to see my children growing.
New and exciting things are happening. Let me see where to begin...
I haven't officially stepped on the scale, but I believe my grand total on weight loss is now around 55-60 pounds. Woo Hoo! Yes It is still hard, and I'm still trucking along, but I do have my moments of just wanting to stuff myself. Thank goodness the Lap-Band won't allow me to do that, which is a good thing.
Church is still the same. We have had some hurts these last few months from some people very close to us. We have chosen this time to move forward and to allow God to work on us mentally and spiritually and help to heal our hearts. But I shall send updates about that soon.
Eddie is doing ok. He still has about 15 more pounds to lose before the Transplant team will put him on the transplant list. This last 15 pounds is horrible to try and get off! But he's determined thank goodness. My hubby got a part time job in the mornings. I think it has been good for him. It has taken a bit for us to all get adjusted to his new schedule. He had to change his dialysis time now, and it has kind of made us re-adjust how we did some things before. But it is all working out and I'm so proud of him.
Lauren is starting college again, and she just got a different job that should last her until she is close to finishing school. She is extremely excited! It is an accounting intern position which will help with school and be very beneficial.
Josh is in his last year a middle school thank goodness! WHEW!~ These middle school years are extremely hard. And other kids are so cruel sometimes, so please be in prayer and covering over him.
Going to keep this short since I'm at work. I'll holler later! ;)

Another post...
Well, today I find that I'm not nearly as motivated to post as in the past. Not sure why, but here goes.
So far to date, I have lost around 45 pounds. Woot Woot! Very excited, but of course the Lap-Band is made for slower weight loss, so I am trying my very hardest to not get discouraged. But I want it to happen now! hehe I still have my moments of trying the foods I want to eat (even though I know it will be hard). I usually end up getting sick, and then of course I think to myself "Why did I even try that?" I have realized that some of the old eating habits are very hard to break! And I will admit that there are times that I wish I could just take the absolute BIGGEST bite of hamburger you've ever seen!!! Sometimes thats what I miss most. Still no regrest! I'm overall extremely happy and would recommend in a heartbeat!
Church is doing good. Over the last few weeks we have had some growth. We have anywhere from 25-35 people now! Praise the Lord! I finally did get pictures of the church, but haven't uploaded them from my camera yet. I will try to do that here in the next few days.
Family is doing well. Eddie of course still has good and bad days. But don't we all. Will try to post pics of the family.
