King Kones is on hold....

Hello everyone!

Well I can't chat long, just wanted to update everyone on what is going on.  We have had to put the snow cone stand on hold for a bit.  My hubby had a heart attack yesterday and is currently in CCU.  So prayers are definitely appreciated.

For those that don't know, my hubby has been sick 14 out of the 15 years we've been married.  I'll just name a few so that you get an idea.  Diabetes, Hypertension, Renal Failure, Had kidney transplant and then it failed, Two eye surgeries due to torn retinas.....Anywhoo...too many to list.  He's never had to have open-heart surgery Praise God!  But this is his 7th heart attack.  He has had several stints and balloons to help the heart.
Yesterday was two more balloons.  And he's only 49 years old. :(  Even through all of this I'm so blessed to have this wonderful man in my life!  Thank you God!  I will cherish every moment!

So.......... yes, it's hard at times.  I'll try to update everyone later!~  Thank you for the prayers!  Have a blessed day!

What can I say?

Wow...
Well it's been interesting to say the least!

The Snow cone stand is up and running! Still learning as we go, but at least its a "GO!"
I promised pictures so here it is!

Yep! It's ugly I know! But will have to do for this year! Business is slow, but expected. I pray...No I know, that business will pick up further into the summer months and as the weather gets hotter! It is a huge relief to get all that "crap" out of my house! It looks somewhat functional again! I can see my floor again! :)

Here is the side of the stand closer to night time! I will say that the pink is growing on me. I still think it's ugly, but it is growing on me. One thing I can say is the kids love the color! :)

Eddie is running the stand usually from 3-9pm. I do worry about him and have found myself staying at the stand in case he needs me. Well, last week after working all week and then hanging out at the stand ....just about killed me! I'm too old!

I know I'm going to have to let him tend to it. It is his baby after all! :)

Hopefully now that the stand is open, I can have more down time, and not worry so much about things. I pray that I will have some peace very soon. I thank God for blessing me with all that I have! I know I'm not deserving!

I'll keep you posted!~

King Kones

Well good Wednesday Morning my Peeps!

I haven't posted in a few days. Sawry!

Been too super busy with King Kones! Our brand new snow cone stand. Woot Woot! I have never made so much simple syrup in my life! But I'm a pro at it now! I know, I know, you want pictures! I will try I promise! Update!!! We now have over 70 flavors! We should open in about a week! Please cover us in prayer! We are so excited for this opportunity that God has so graciously given us.

On another note! I went fishing with my bestest buddy ever last weekend! The weather was wonderful. Only caught a couple of fish. I think its still a little chilly for the fishies! But it was still a nice relaxing weekend. Not sure how much extra time I will have to fish when we open the snow cone stand, so I'm taking every chance I can to get out there! I have some beautiful sunrise pictures to post! Oh, did I mention that we were at the park fishing at 7:00am! Yepper!
Wow, I wonder why it is so hard for me to get up that early for work....but man... when it comes to fishing...I don't have a problem at all! ;) Here is a picture of a carp that I caught. We don't keep the fish. Mostly because the fish we are catching are what we call "trash" fish. And really, that is fine. We are there for the sport anyway. So we let them go.

Here are some of the beautiful sunrise pictures!

I'll post later when I get a chance! Oh ...and thanks for the prayers in advance!

Bye~

Tiger's Blood please...

Wow! Another busy weekend with little to no rest.

Our new adventure...AKA King Kones...(Sno-cone stand) is keeping me busy. I did not realize what all it entailed. It's like starting a small business, with limited space! Bahahaha! I will post pictures as soon as I can.

I spent all weekend making simple syrup to mix with the flavors! We have over 50 flavors, and I only got like 20 bottles done! :( But I also spent time cleaning the Sno-Cone trailer, and organizing, and just stuff in general. You can't even walk in the front room at my house without stepping over sno-cone syrup! It is interesting to mix flavors like Dill Pickle and think.."Geeze, do people really order this!" I remember going to the Sno-Cone stand and telling the teenager, "I'll have a tigers blood please!"

We are excited but scared at the same time. Please pray for us to have a successful sno-cone business. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Bye~

Birthday...

Well after much consideration, I will have to finally admit...I turn 40 today. I thought about just telling people that I am 39 and holding! ;)

Spring break is over, school is starting up again. It's kind of hard to get Josh focused back on school work. Honestly, it is probably harder for me than him!

My hubby and I and the family are working hard at getting the snow cone stand up and running.
We had set a date of April 1 to be open. Hopefully it will be around that date. Oh, for those who don't know, we bought a snow cone stand last year. It's called King Kones. We bought it from an individual. We have decided to leave the name the same. We are going to set up the trailer by our church. It's bright pink! I'll post some pictures soon! The individual we bought it from has some scriptures written on it in children's handwriting. We decided to leave all that the same. So either this weekend or next, I will be practicing with my expert snow cone skills! Bahahaha!

Wish me luck! ;)

Update...

Hello my beautiful bloggin' buddies! ;) I hope you are having a super fantastic spring break. As for me...I'm at work! grrrrr......

I decided I would just update everyone on some of my past posts, so that you would know whats up!

I am currently still working on the sleep thing. It's harder than I thought to tackle. But don't give up on me yet!

I finally went (a few days late) and I paid my fishing ticket. I am no longer an outlaw and you will will be glad to know that I will not have a warrant out for my arrest! ;) However, there is a downside to this story...

My ticket cost a whoppin' $145.00!! Beeeegeeezers! Are you kidding me?!?!?! A fishing ticket costs that much! Well, guess we are only going to eat at my house on M, W and Fridays!! If you are available to feed me and my family on T, T. and Saturdays, please let me know. Uh Oh...what about Sunday's? Hum...well...we'll just play that day by ear! ;)
Seriously... I have thought about starting a fishing fund to help my pocket book! ;)

And lastly...I have been waiting to see "The Hunger Games" movie. Well it starts March 23!!! I'm sooooo excited! Woot Woot!

You can check out "The Hunger Games" premiere in Los Angeles if you want, just follow this link below.

Sleep Day 4

Whoa! check it out!

I did so much better last night! Woot Woot! Of course I can still do better, and will continue to try! Almost a full 8 hours. So proud of myself. The downside is I don't feel good today. Maybe the lack of sleep is catching up with me. Not sure, but I am just as sleepy as the other days! :( I also have a headache today! grrrr.....It is Friday, so I do get to leave early from work today. Amen! Right now, I just want to go home and take some meds for my headache and crawl into bed.

Ok, enough whining! I'll keep you posted on my progress next week! Pray for me!

I hope everyone has a super weekend! If I don't talk to you over the weekend, I'll post Monday!

Bye!~

Sleep Day 3

We have a problem. :/ I kind of already knew how this was going to turn out, and sure enough, its exactly as I thought. Geeze!

As the week goes on, I get less and less sleep. I had an enjoyable evening with some friends after work, then headed home as usual. My son wanted to just talk and talk, and tell me about his PS3 games. Then I ended up talking to my daughter for a while. Same with the hubby! And as I was talking to hubby, that TV show "Operation Repo" was on, and oh man...I was cracking up! My hubby and I ended up just really talking through the commercials, be cause we didn't want to miss any of the repo drama! I know it sounds corny, but hey....if it gets my mind off of my stuff for a while....I'll watch it! Bahahaha! ;)

Hum...I have to figure this out. How to balance all of it. I'll take any suggestions I can get! But for now, here is last nights sleep cycle results. I know, I know! Not very good! But as I said, its a work in progress. So as I'm sitting here yawning at my desk, I want you to come trade places with me, so that I can go home and take a nap! Yea that's what I said! :) Let me know when you'll be here!

Sleep Day 2

Um...well...(I clear my throat as if there were a frog in it)!!

I think I'm an epic failure when trying new things. Again last night my going to bed early did not work out so well on my part.

If you have read any of my earlier posts you know that Tuesdays are my long day. After work I have a piano lesson, then worship practice at the church. Well, my piano was cancelled yesterday, but I still had worship practice. Didn't get home until around 8:30pm. I guess that isn't enough time for me to unwind.

After getting home, I cooked a little dinner and ended up talking to my daughter about work things, wedding things, and just well you know......things! Then my future SIL came home and I talked to both of them for awhile. Then my husband got home from work and we all ended up talking about our day. Don't get me wrong, that time with them is priceless. But around 10:30pm I had to boot them all out of my room so I could go to bed. But even after climbing in bed, I had tons of things running through my mind! So I'm sure I didn't sleep right away.

I'm fixing to post last nights sleep cycle. It's not much different than the 1st night! Bahhhh! I'm suppose to be doing better! Geeze! ok...(talking to myself....making me feel better) ...I will continue to try! That is all I can do at the moment, right?

Ok, here we go! (Drum roll please....now scroll down...yikes!!)

I told you it wasn't much different than the 1st night! Anywhoo, I'm still trying at this! :) I will not give up yet! God is not going to give up on me, so giving up on myself is NOT an option!

Ok my peeps, I will holler at you later!~

Sleep Day 1

Well whew! That weekend went quick! But doesn't it always!

I stated last week that I was going to log my sleep for at least a week, and see how I do. Well, I can say that I didn't start off very well last night (Monday night). I have been reading "The Hunger Games" Trilogy and I really wanted to get it finished. Something about that last book that you want to hurry up and be finished already! So with only 3 chapters left, I absolutely HAD to finish! ;)

The application I'm using on my phone is called Sleep Cycle. Feel free to look it up at sleepcycle.com. I believe it has a rating of around 4 out of 5 stars. Here is how it works.

Sleep Cycle creates a 30 minute wake-up phase that ends at your desired alarm time.
During this phase Sleep cycle will monitor signals from your body to wake you softly, when you are in the lightest possible sleep state.

The Iphone uses the accelerometer to sense your movements as you sleep. (Not sure if this really works or not, and don't really care.) I just use the application to know my start/end sleep time.

I am posting my Day 1 results below.

Ok....So you can see when I went to bed and woke up. Well 7 hours to me isn't too bad, but could be better.

It also give me my average over a certain amount of time. I guess my average is around 6 hours and 45 minutes.

I'm not going to worry about my average right now. My goal is to do better this week. If I can do better nightly, then weekly, then my overall average should change.

So my primary focus is just on this week. :) I actually love this app. As I said before, I don't rely on it too much as far as my sleep patterns and such go, but I do like to know how much sleep I'm getting. Not sure why, but I do! :)

I hope everyone has a blessed week ahead! I know I'm going to! Until tomorrow!~

Already Worn Out!

Well, It is Friday. Finally the weekend. I guess I should be more thrilled, but to be honest, I am exhausted. This has been my first full week back to work after being so sick, and it has really pushed me. When I get off today, I plan on going home and crawling into my nice bed and taking a good snooze!

I have noticed that I'm not getting enough sleep at night. I am requiring more and more sleep the older I get. I have known this but have ignored the signs for awhile now.

I had actually set this as one of my goals earlier in the year, but haven't really followed it, but now I know I need to. I know it may sound crazy, but if I don't get lots of sleep, my body starts feeling run down, not to mention the crankiness, then I start getting physically sick, and so on...

My kids are older now, so that is no excuse! No little ones to attend to, so I can sleep when I want..... most of the time.

I'm going to set a new schedule this next week for when to go to bed and such. We'll see how much rest I actually get. I will keep you posted. I actually have an app on my phone, that I set under the top of my pillow, that tells me how long I've been asleep and what my sleep pattern is.
I don't know if I would actually rely on the sleep pattern part, but I know I can rely on the time that I've slept, because I have to input that myself.

It's going to be interesting to say the least! I probably don't really want to know. OK...it's pretty much a known fact that all of us don't get the rest we need, but do we actually do anything to try to change it? Do we change our schedules? What do we actually do, to rest? What works for you? Do you actually rest on the Sabbath Day? Hum....Lots of food for thought.

I will let you know early next week how my weekend was, and how my week is looking!
Until then my friends!~

Among the Living!

Well Hello my B_E_A_U_T_I_F_U_L blogging buddies!

I am happy to announce that I am among the living again! I'm sure you are all relieved! ;)

My flu/bronchitis/pnemonia....or just plain "crap" that I had is moving on out of here! It has been 2 weeks of nasty cough, fever, body aches...and you name it!

Just for the record.....Any colds, flu, coughing, aching, fever...whatever cometh... may not reside in this body any longer! Even though I am temporarily in this body, we will not reside in it together! Just so you know! So hit the road sickness!

Whew! I have been jumping around from blog to blog trying to catch up on everyone and everyone's business! Hahaha!

I was talking with a friend last night at church about how when we were both sick, we both seemed to hear from the Lord more loudly. Or maybe it was because we were wanting to. Or maybe because we didn't have any outside stuff going on (because we were sick) that we had time to listen, or maybe just the plain fact that He made me listen!!

I hope to share some of the intimate moments that God and I had these last few weeks whenever I have enough energy. It's taken me all afternoon just to get this typed out! ;)

Glad everyone is well, and we will talk soon! ~

Monday already?

Wow, this past week flew by.

Well, let me start by saying that I finally confessed my guilt about my fishing ticket. ;) Hubby wasn't really mad. I haven't called to see how much it is going to cost. I should probably do that.

Weekend went fast. Had a date with Hubby on Friday that was fabulous! We don't get to do it often, so it was very nice. Saturday night church was awesome. Love spending time with my church/people.

Yesterday...felt yucky all day. I think I have an upper respiratory infection. I coughed, coughed, and coughed some more! Have sore throat, couldn't sleep from wheezing. Not how I want to spend a Sunday. So of course today, I'm totally dragging. And it's still early! Eeeek! Somebody gave me their cooties! ;)

We had snow yesterday! It was beautiful! Huge flakes too. Maybe 3-4 inches, but it was still nice to not have to get out in it. Hubby made some stew and cornbread that we ate on all day. By last night, there was none left!

I'm going to try to get some work done! I hope everyone has a blessed week! :)

Fishing again...

Well hello my bloggin' buddies!

I hope your weekend was blessed. Whether it was productivity you wanted or sleep, or just plain "whatever," I hope you received it.

I had the joy of going fishing yesterday with my son. Of course I had a gazillion other things that needed to get done too, but chose fishing. One, I love to fish, two...quality time with Joshua! I won't always have that, but will have laundry and other stuff to do. Three?? Well there isn't a three!

It was still a little chilly yesterday afternoon. Ok........a lot chilly. As in only 44 degrees chilly! Burrr...! Enough to freeze my chi' chi's off! It was however gorgeous! There weren't many people fishing so the lake was kind of quiet... or so we thought. I've included a video for you to watch so turn your volume up! It's amazing! Well it was to me. Maybe I just don't get out much! Bahahaha!

This happened on four different occasions. I was in awe! Josh on the other hand was worried about ....well to put it into his words..."getting crapped on!" I must say I'm surprised we didn't, because the ducks were....hum...what do I say..."letting loose"...haha...ok just forget it, they were "crapping, pooping..." (whatever you want to call it) all around us! Even with nature calling, I enjoyed our time together! Hopefully he did too!

We didn't manage to catch any fish, but I did manage to catch a big fat ticket! Yes, you read right. A BIG FAT TICKET! My fishing license expired just two months ago! A ticket! Are you kidding me!!! Now I've been fishing with my son on and off for about 3 years now. Two years with no license (I know, I know...I should have had one) and never got caught. Then I finally go get a license and manage to hang on to it for over a year and still never ever saw a game/park warden. But two months after my license expires...you guessed it...the Park Ranger shows up! Not just any park ranger...but a good-looking park ranger! :) He was very nice, so I can't say anything bad. I did ask why he wasn't at home watching the Superbowl! He said all of his co-workers were at home already watching the game, and stated that "Someone had to work!" :) Anywhoo...I haven't broke the news to my husband yet, so to everyone that reads this....Shhhhhhhhhhh!

Nothing new...

Well I'm excited to say, there is nothing new to report at the Ortega household. Eddie is doing good, kids are good, I'm good! Woot Woot! Ready for the weekend. Not that I have much planned, but need the rest and catch up on laundry.

Church is cancelled tonight. That will give Eddie and I some time to catch up on running around that we need to do. :)

Catch you later!~

So I'm really not used to this...

My hubby was scheduled for surgery yesterday. Normal and routine. It was just to unclog his shunt in his arm that he does dialysis from. Let me just say.."been there done that" ..sort of surgery. I know it may sound harsh and uncaring... But that is almost what it is like.
Exactly two weeks ago he had surgery on the other arm. I went in thinking the same thing. Well to my surprise ... He didn't do so well. Four and a half hours later from a surgery that was to be about an hour and a half was my first clue something was wrong. I found out that they had trouble keeping his blood pressure up and almost moved him to ICU. Wow! How quickly things change! It was then that I new that I needed to change my heart and needed God's help to do it! I told God that I didnt want to become immune to my husbands illness or surgeries. I know I shouldn't have been that way to begin with. But it's easy to fall into that rut, especially when you deal with it day in and day out! "Thank you God!" for showing me the rut I was in and for helping me to get out! I don't want to take what You have given us for granted!
Yesterday went well, but going into it, my feelings were totally different! I saw everything a new way. So different that I had to say to myself..." I'm not really used to this...at all!"
I know I have, on probably several occasions, pushed my feelings back so that I don't have to think about anything going wrong. But during all those times I grew callus thinking its no biggie. But as of two weeks ago I have learned that every surgery is a biggie! I need to put my "big girl panties on"...and know that my God is with me! Can I get a Amen??!!!~

"The Waiter"

Let me start by saying that Tuesdays are the longest day of the week for me. After working all day, I have a piano lesson, then worship practice. I love my piano lessons, and worship practice....working all day...um...not so much! ;)
I wouldn't trade it for the world though. Let me walk you through my Tuesday.

I can't really say much about work, except well...it's "work." I did however get my work hours changed yesterday. I now work at 7:30am - 4:30pm. Not bad! I didn't mind the change much. I think it will be best for me anyway. I get a 30 minute lunch. Just enough time to catch part of an episode of "Antique's Roadshow" on PBS. Go ahead...I'm sure you are all laughing, but you probably like it too, just won't admit it! ;) If I'm not watching the Web, I'm doing my devotional, or reading my book.

After work, I head straight to church so I can prepare for piano and worship! Piano is awesome! It's my "more relaxed" part of the day. Worship is awesome too, I try to keep it fun, so that we all have a great time, but also help us prepare for services and such.

So It's around 8:30pm before I get home on Tuesdays. Mind you I left the house at 7:15am! Whew long day! I know...I know...I'll quit whining, but I have yet to tell you the greatest part of my evening!

So Josh and I pull in the driveway last night around 8:30. I get in the house...and I'm pooped. Eddie is working so its just me and the kids. Lauren was doing homework, so I went to my bedroom and put on my relax clothes....(aka...pajamas)!
I start going over Joshua's homework and soon realize I'm starving! As Joshua and I were going over his papers, I said babe "Your mom is so tired, how about you fix me dinner tonight?" Took a little coaxing but it worked!

He soon plays waiter and comes into my room with a pen and paper to take my order and a white towel draped over his arm.
I chose a grilled cheese, chips with 1 scoop of french onion dip, and a couple of pickles. He asked if I wanted double cheese and I said..."Sure, why not!" It was so cute. He asked if I wanted my grilled cheese light, medium, or dark..(i guess meaning burnt). I chose medium!

He soon served my order to me just how I like with silverware wrapped in a napkin. (I'm blessed that he likes to cook! Just like his dad!) By now, I'm really digging this - son - pretending to be a waiter thing. I soon realize I need a few more chips. I'm hollering "Waiter, Waiter!" No response....Again.."Waiter, Waiter...!"
He finally hears my cries and I say "Sir, I feel a little neglected in your service. I could really use some more chips." He says "Well I'm sorry about the service, but there are other customers besides YOU!" ...Yes ..he said that!!
But I did get more chips!

I asked about dessert. He said "All we have on the menu is a couple of cookies." He said "My kitchen isn't very well stocked!" Yes, his way of saying "Mom, we need some groceries!" :)

So I'm eating the last of my cookies and enjoying my full belly, and my waiter appears with my bill in hand. I said..."What's this...?" He said your bill.

So here is the bill itemized out.

1 grill cheese - med
Chips with 1 skoup dip
2 sour pikles

Total - $3.00

Ok...first of all I wasn't expecting a bill. Secondly, $3.00 isn't bad. Lastly, and probably the funniest part, when he delivered my tab, he also served me my wallet!!!!!

Unfortunately, I hardly ever have cash, so I told him I would have to owe him. :P
Now, I know I don't owe him anything for the dinner and he knows that too. But I have to tell you..the entertainment was priceless! That was the best ending to a long hard day! Thanks son! I love you!

Fence Monster...?

Somehow our neighborhood has a "Fence Monster." Huge giant holes, some 3-4 pickets wide and at least a foot in length! It started with our neighbors, showing us what had happened to their fence, then random houses in the neighborhood started showing signs. Signs that something was creating giant holes with jagged edges and scrapes down and around.
My husband and I had been trying to figure out what was going on. Why all of our neighbors had these huge holes taken out of their fence. In some cases it was right in the middle of the fence. Some 3-4 pickets wide and at least a foot long. That is when my husband and I joked about the "fence monster."
Our little old lady neighbor next door was more concerned that I. She had a small chihuahua named "Snicker" that she had to protect. Not to overly concern her, I told her not to worry, and we would watch out for Snicker.

Sunday afternoon I went to let the dogs out into the backyard and to my surprise a huge hole in our fence, jagged and broken. Just like the others around the neighborhood! I immediately hollered for Eddie (my husband). I ran outside as the winds were picking up and swirling around my head. I'm trying to figure out what I could use to block this huge hole, after all, I have my own dogs to protect! To my surprise, I had some goats and horses in my backyard! Yep...you heard right... goats and horses. Now my backyard isn't big enough for goats and horses. Our town may not be huge, but I live in the city! So I am freaking out a little at this point.
I run out into the alley and I look north, where normally you would see cars driving down the street. No cars. It's starting to rain a little, with blowing dirt mixed in. I look to the south and again no cars. Just horses. That's right lots and lots of horses north and south of me!
Where is Eddie? Grrrr...I am really getting annoyed now! As I turn to go back inside I look next door and guess who I see? Snicker. I run back to the alley towards my neighbors yard to rescue Snicker and almost get plowed by a horse! They are running down my alley towards me. Even little ponies are headed this way! I get back into my yard just in time. Snicker... I have decided will have to wait! I search for my own dogs as the wind whips dirt and rain in my face.
Whew! I keep hollering for Eddie, the kids, somebody? Anybody? Suddenly I hear this beep (pause), beep (pause), beep. The kind of beep you hear when machinery or big trucks are backing up. I head to the alley to see what the beep is. To my surprise, my neighbor in her wheelchair, is being loaded onto a flat-bed truck! I don't recognize any of these people. She's clutching her purse to her chest with one hand, and has Snicker in the other. I'm staring in disbelief! My poor neighbor has this zoned look on her face and she starts screaming at the top of her lungs!

And then I woke up...

Seriously...crazy dream huh!

That bad 7 letter word!

That's right...that bad 7 letter word I have been repeating since I got off work Friday!

Normally I watch what I say... But this weekend has been extremely hard for me! Since hate is such a strong word... I'll go with "dislike!".

Ok... "I really dislike you L-A-U-N-D-R-Y!" In a big bad way! More thank you know! Come to think of it, why don't we just throw in the dishes too! Oh and vacuuming, toilets....you catch my drift.

So I'm thinking I will delegate the chores...so it goes faster! Woot! :)

Then I will get comfy with my snuggie and my nook and have a comfy cozy weekend! So that's the plan. I'll let you know if it happens!

Have a super weekend everyone!

"That was EASY"

First let me say that "I Love, Love, Love this Easy button!" I think everybody should have one!

My daughter was cleaning out her room one night and gave me this "easy" button! I instantly laughed and brought it to work. I have to tell you that when you press the button it says in a mans voice - "That was easy!"

So I now have an easy button on my desk at work. (I'm attaching a picture so you can see it.) I have many people here at work just walk in and hit my easy button as if it were there own. Somehow this "easy" button has grown on everybody. What is it about this "easy" button that we love? Don't laugh but here our my reasons for hitting the "easy" button...

*I'm patting myself on the back for a job well done!
*I'm thinking to myself "Good job Robin for thinking of that when no one else did!"
(Plus it sure looked good to my boss, not to mention I'm walking around the office with my head held high...thinking Oh, yea...I'm the bomb!!! haha)
*I have finally finished the dreaded task that I've been working on.
*It is finally 5:00pm and I'm singing 9-5 like Dolly Parton.
*I can finally breathe now that my works done!
*I'm so mad and irritated that I'm not finding an easy way to do something, so I beat the easy button with a passion. (Seriously beating the button...so that the man's voice is now sounding kind of strangled and more like a woman than a man!)

I finally realize that beating my "easy" button and breaking it, may send all my co-workers into a state of shock! Then were would we be? Wait, I know...I would be doing all of their work! Um...NO!

So now, I'm making myself and all of my co-workers go super super easy on the "easy" button! Sounds corny I know, but hey I'm already looking for a replacement online.

So overall whew..."That was Easy!" ;)

Reading too much?

Ok, I'll admit it! All I want to do lately is read. Read, Read, and Read some more!!
Honestly I've been racking my brain on "Why I need to read today" or "Why I shouldn't read today?" And it is not even one specific book! I have so many that I want to read at once, but for some reason my mind keeps telling me to finish the book I am reading now before starting another one. Are you able to read multiple books? If so please tell me how you do this. I really want/need to know.

Starting over...

Well...

As many can soon imagine, I did NOT keep up with my blogging at all. I have since made another resolution to try and incorporate it into my daily routine. I know that many people don't believe in resolutions for the new year, and that is perfectly ok. Too be honest for me, I do continue to make them. "Why you ask?" I feel that it's alright to start something, kind of like a new beginning, when your life changes, or you want your life to change. I myself feel that starting something is better than never starting it at all. Even if I fail after I've started it. I at least know I tried.

I have decided however to just blog about me! That's right, just me! I am not going to be posting any lap-band results any longer. I just want a place where I can be "Me!"

I have struggles too, just as most of us do.

I am the caregiver to my husband "Eddie." Please keep us in your prayers! I am a Christian, and I hope that by listening to my "ups and downs" that you may gain some sort of strength and encouragement by my words. Actually not my words, but Gods words!

Whether it is a good or bad day, I hope you will tag along for the journey!
